Friday of Lent 1

Friday of Lent 1, March 10, 2017   Psalm 32:7

Psalm 32:7 English Standard Version (ESV)

7 You are a hiding place for me;
    you preserve me from trouble;
    you surround me with shouts of deliverance. Selah

God takes David from seclusion to public acknowledgement from those who see God’s work of salvation. 1

Because we are the Lord’s we are safe. No matter what lies ahead. No one know the future except He who created heaven and earth. Because the Lord knows us, He has promised to guide us safely through life. This does not mean that we will sometimes have to travel through unchartered waters. Yet He who knows us will direct us. You are loved. You are valued. Christ will keep you. Now and always.

Lord Christ, our eternal Redeemer, grant us such fellowship in your sufferings, that filled with your Holy Spirit, we may subdue the flesh to the spirit, and the spirit to you, and at the last attain to the glory of your resurrection; who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. 2
