Third Sunday in Lent

Third Sunday in Lent – March 15, 2020 – Psalm 67:1-2

May God bestow on us His grace,
    With blessings rich provide us;
And may the brightness of His face
    To life eternal guide us,
That we His saving health may know,
    His gracious will and pleasure,
And also to the nations show
    Christ’s riches without measure
And unto God convert them.

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us, that your way may be known on earth, your saving power among all nations.” – Psalm 57:1-2

The goal of the Christian life is the appreciation of the Savior’s amazing grace and then sharing the Savior’s story with others. The apostle Paul reminds us, “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself not counting their sins against them and has given us this message of reconciliation.” -2 Corinthians 5:19

Today, celebrate your salvation in Christ. Thank the Lord for His mercy and grace. Then live your life as a redeemed child of God as you share His story with others. How will people know unless someone tell them? Make use of every opportunity to share the message of Christ with those whom you meet.

Almighty God, You know that I have no power in myself to help myself: Keep me both outwardly in my body and inwardly in my soul, that I may be defended from all adversities which may happen to the body, and from all evil thoughts which may assault and hurt the soul; through Jesus Christ the Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen

O God, whose glory it is always to have mercy, be gracious to all who have gone astray from Your ways and bring them again with penitent hearts and steadfast faith to embrace and hold fast the unchangeable truth of Your Word; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever
