WEDNESDAY, MARCH 23, 2022 Scripture
Reading: Luke 13:18–21
Additional Scriptures: Numbers
13:17–27; Psalm 39
The kingdom of God is like a
small seed that grew and became a large tree. The tree breathes in and out
through its leaves and roots. Could I take a little time to breathe in and out,
aware of the mysterious source of my life. Soon, the weather will break. Our farmers
will get back to their fields. In spring we should all smell like dirt!
The Holy Spirit Calls. Gathers. Enlightens. Sanctifies.
And keeps.
1 Calls - plants the seed of faith into your heart
2. Gathers – In Baptism He brings you into His family.
2. Enlightens - causes growth toward the light of the
gospel
3. Sanctifies - flowers and fruits (good works)
4. Keeps - waters and nurtures the plant of faith so that
it remains ever green.
Give ear to our prayers, O
Lord, and direct the way of Your servants in safety under your protection,
that, amid all the changes of our earthly pilgrimage, we may be guarded by Your
mighty aid; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and
the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen. [2]
