Friday of Lent 3

FRIDAY, MARCH 25, 2022                                        Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:6–15

Additional Scriptures: Joshua 4:14–24; Psalm 32

What is there for me to live for? Such questions are asked by many along life’s journey. The answer is found in our reading for today. We do not lose heart. We are of good courage. Because our life is connected and rooted in Christ. Sure there are sufferings. We’re living outside of Eden. Yet our champion, our Captain Christ goes before us. At Calvary’s cross He won the victory. In Him we live, move and have our being.
Grant us, O Lord our Strength, to have a True Love of Your Holy Name; so that, trusting in Your grace, we may fear no earthly evil, nor fix our hearts on earthly goods, but may rejoice in Your full salvation; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.[2]
