Easter Tuesday

Tuesday of Easter – April 14, 2020 – 1 Peter 1:8-9

[1]

O grant the consummation
    Of this our song above
In endless adoration
    And everlasting love;
Then shall we praise and bless Thee
    Where perfect praises ring,
And evermore confess Thee,
    Our Savior and our King! [2]

And though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith the salvation of your souls.” -1 Peter 1:8-9

We are living in the time of now but not yet. We are earth bound mortals. Our destiny is glory with Jesus. Presently we cannot see Jesus yet soon and very soon, we shall see Him. We are destined to be with the Savior to live and dwell with Him eternally. You are loving Christ; you are believing in Christ; you are rejoicing in Christ with inexpressible joy; all of this is your even though you do not now see Him. It is yours because you live by faith.

Break in sunder, O Lord, we beseech Thee, the chains of our sins; that, taking upon us Thy light yoke and easy burden, we may serve Thee, with fear and reverence, all the days of our life; through Jesus Christ our Lord, [3]

Almighty God, through Your only-begotten Son, Jesus Christ, You overcame death and opened to us the grate of everlasting life. We humbly pray that we may live before You in righteousness and purity forever; [4]
