Song of Songs, which is Solomon's. The Bride Confesses Her Love.
Song of Solomon 2 Let him
kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is better than wine.
Song of Solomon 3 your
anointing oils are fragrant; your name is oil poured out; therefore virgins

In Song of Solomon 4-5,
the bridegroom praises the bride's beauty with vivid imagery, comparing her
neck to a fortress tower and her breasts to twin fawns. He expresses his desire
for her, and she responds, but her response is met with a somber dream where
she seeks him and he is gone. She then asks the "daughters of Jerusalem"
to help her find him.
Song of Solomon 6-8 depict
the maturing love between Solomon and the Shulammite woman, highlighting his
intense admiration for her unique beauty and spirit. The text contrasts her
with many other beautiful women, emphasizing her singular place in his heart,
which is also a metaphor for God's unique love for his people. The chapters
also include his longing for intimacy and the woman's own expressions of love,
culminating in a powerful plea for their love to be as strong as death and for
their commitment to be sealed forever.[1]
