Friday, March 6, 2009 –Hands and feet pierced – Psalm 22:16

For dogs have surrounded Me. The congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet. –Psalm 22:16

The Bible passage for today explains how Jesus was nailed to the cross. As you read this passage think – that Jesus was not gently put on the cross and that He had to do all the suffering that He did just for us to be saved.

Before Jesus died God looked at us, dirty and covered in sin. But now God looks at us and we are clean. So Jesus got His hands and feet pierced into a cross to save all of us from sin, hell and the devil. Great is His love.

Dear heavenly Father, please help us to always remember what You sent Your Son to do for us so that we try not to take You for granted. In Your name we pray.
