O Lord, eternal and leader of the House of Israel, who didst appear to Moses in the fire of the burning bush and didst give the law to him on Sinai, come to redeem us by Thine outstretched arm.

P:	Prepare ye the way of the Lord.  Alleluia!
C:	Make His paths straight.  Alleluia!

The Collect

P:	Stir up our hearts, O Lord, to make ready the way of Thine only-begotten Son, that by His coming we may be enabled to serve Thee with pure minds; through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, our Lord.
C:	Amen.

                                Who to Thy Tribes on Sinai’s height,

                                In ancient times didst give the law,

                                In cloud, and majesty and awe,
